The beautiful village of Gassin, nestles high up in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of south-eastern France. It is located near the popular holiday destination of Saint-Tropez and is enjoyed by many visitors each year.
This is one of our favourite places to visit and every year we can’t wait to go back and enjoy everything it has to offer. The atmosphere is relaxing and tranquil and is not over run with crowds of people, which can be the case when visiting the South of France in peak season.
There are several restaurants to choose from, all beautifully laid out and all incredibly enticing and whether you are wanting lunch, dinner or just an ice-cream sundae, you’ll be spoilt for choice with what’s available.
The surrounding beauty of this picturesque village is breathtaking. The views are stunning, with restaurants overlooking the majestic Mediterranean and flowers in full bloom, you can’t help but fall in love with this little gem in the Côte d’Azur.
We spotted several quaint gift shops whilst strolling around, selling fabulous wall plaques. These are very popular and so of course I had to purchase a couple for our home and our caravan, not to mention the gorgeously fragranced lavender, which was for sale in an array of different and unique ways.
In the evening, local artists line the cobbled streets selling beautiful oil paintings and treasured gifts and we absolutely loved strolling around and admiring all that was on offer. If you’re heading to the Côte d’Azur this summer, why not stop off at this delightful village, it truly is a magical place.
