Recently I was lucky enough to win six fabulous boxes of loose leaf tea from The Kettle Shed, so I thought I’d take this opportunity to review this delicious selection and give you an insight of their products and flavours available.
Previously I was sent Gingerbread and Eggnog tea bags to try from the winter blends range from The Kettle Shed, which were absolutely gorgeous and so Christmassy, however I’ve never had the pleasure of trying the loose leaf tea, until now.
The Kettle Shed sent me six wonderful and very different flavours to try, all perfectly packaged in brown, sustainably sourced cardboard, mini sheds. Each one has an ‘All About’ snippet of information at the back of the box, which I found incredibly useful and informative in learning about each tea and how best to enjoy them.
Darcy’s Delights – Sweet Shop Blend
All about Darcy’s Delights: This striking blend will bring back fond memories of the sweet shops of old. Light, refreshing Ceylon black tea scented with delightfully fragrant sweet violet and finished with a sprinkling of colourful cornflowers. Goes down a treat with a nice slice of sponge cake and will leave you craving more…
Tutti Frutti – Tropical Fruit & Coconut
All about Tutti Frutti: A panoply of tropical fruits compete for attention in this fun, colourful infusion. Tangy pineapple and sharp passion fruit are complimented perfectly by creamy coconut and honey-sweet orange blossom. Naturally caffeine-free and rich in vitamins this blend is a fantastic treat for adults and children alike. It’s sunshine in a cup.
Kick-In Coco – Chilli & Chocolate Blend
All about Kick-In Coco: A wickedly indulgent and feisty blend that will satisfy your chocolate cravings and get your blood pumping. Comforting Sri Lankan black tea is complemented with bold, rich cocoa and a fiery-hot hit of red chilli. This addictive combination will have you panting for more.
Majestic Melon – Melon & Cherry Blend
All about Majestic Melon: A fun, fruity blend of antioxidant-rich green and white teas with hints of cheery cherries and mellow melons. A refreshing, sweet blend that will transport you away to a summer’s day. Delicious iced.
Cheeky Charlie – Apple & Lime Blend
All about Cheeky Charlie Blend: A crisp and sweet blend of light Chinese green tea, green apple, lemon verbena and lime leaves. Bursting with freshness and zesty citrus notes. Green tea is rich in antioxidants and thought to have powerful rejuvenating effects, making a cup of this green brew a bountiful treat indeed.
Fruit Burst – Summer Fruits
All about Fruit Burst: A lively infusion of fruit pieces, berries and peels with a sweet and citrus twist. This blend is the perfect summer pick-me-up and bursting with flavour – it’s ideal iced too. Naturally caffeine-free and rich in vitamins this blend is a fantastic treat for adults and children alike.
What I also loved about The Kettle Shed was the We Give a Cup story. Every time a box of loose tea is sold, The Kettle Shed donate tea directly to homeless shelters across the UK. They believe that tea has many health benefits and in addition to the teas warmth and great taste, it is also full of antioxidants and helps hydrate the body. A fantastic idea and cause I’m sure you’ll all agree.
All the teas tasted absolutely delicious (especially the Chilli and Chocolate) with their own unique flavour and blend. Thank you so much to The Kettle Shed, it really was a great prize and I certainly won’t be feeling the cold this winter!
