Strawberry Margarita Mocktail

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, it’s time to relax and unwind with a delicious and refreshing Strawberry Margarita Mocktail.

If you follow my blog, you will probably know by now that one of my favourite types of drink are mocktails. As they are alcohol free, they are the perfect beverage to quench your thirst on a sunny day, give to guests as an aperitif at your dinner or garden party and are a perfect drink for children to enjoy too.

What I love about this particular recipe, is that it is full of natural fruit juices, such as orange juice, lime juice and of course lots of juicy, fresh strawberries. If you like this particular mocktail, why not try out my other delicious mocktails, such as Strawberry Daiquiri Mocktail and Raspberry Mojito Mocktail.

Ingredients ~ serves 4 (depending on glass size)

300g strawberries, hulled

100ml orange juice

100ml lemonade (you can use sparkling water if you prefer)

50ml lime juice

ice

coloured sugar (I used food colouring to colour the sugar)

lime to garnish

Method

1. Put the strawberries, orange juice, lemonade, lime juice and ice into the blender and blend until it reaches a slushy consistency. Add more ice if required.

2. Wipe the rims of the 4 glasses with a slice of lime. Put the coloured sugar onto a plate and roll the rims in the sugar until coated.

3. Pour the Strawberry Margarita into the glasses and garnish with a lime wheel. Enjoy!
